My Journey to Becoming a Change & Grief Coach

Hi, I’m Chanelle, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals navigating the difficult waters of grief, loss, and life transitions. My journey into grief coaching began with my own experiences of loss. After losing my mother in 2021 I found myself in a place of deep sadness and uncertainty.

My devastation left me paralyzed towards any action in my life. I immediately began grief therapy so that I could function each day. A year later, I began grief coaching. Grief therapy helped me to SURVIVE, grief coaching helped me to THRIVE. It was through this journey that I discovered the transformative power of support and healing.

Realizing that I wasn’t alone and that others were also seeking ways to cope and move forward inspired me to become a certified grief coach. I’ve dedicated my practice to helping others find their own paths through grief and change, offering a compassionate ear and practical tools for restoration and transformation. For me, grief coaching was not a career I planned but rather a calling I had to answer.

It would be my honor to support your journey. Here’s to your growth and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead! I’m rooting for you!

MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every individual’s journey is unique, and there’s no right way to grieve or navigate change. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and authenticity. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your feelings, explore your experiences, and uncover your inner strengths.

Together, we’ll work to transform your pain into a source of strength, helping you discover new perspectives and possibilities for your life.

My Qualifications

I hold

a Bachelors of Arts in a double major of Rhetoric Communications and Sociology,

a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Health,

certification in change management,

certification in Lean Six Sigma,

and am a certified grief coach with specialized training in group and transition coaching.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients, each facing their own unique challenges and situations. My continued education in group and grief coaching allows me to provide the best support possible.

Additionally, I previously served over a decade as a public servant focused on improving the health of citizens. My main responsibilities focused on quality improvement and change management. As such, I have several certifications and trainings in the areas of change and improvement. I use this foundation to support my clients with relevant frameworks, methods, tools, and techniques.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, I primarily offer group coaching programs and workshops, creating community spaces for progress and connection.

A Little More About Me

When I’m not coaching, you can find me volunteering at my church, throughout my community, or at children’s school, reading books on grief or change, or spending time with my family and friends. I believe in the importance of self-care and grounding myself in activities that bring me joy. I’m also passionate about painting and creative activities.

I understand that the journey through grief and transition can feel isolating, but I want you to know that you are not alone. My mission is to walk alongside you, providing support, understanding, and guidance as you navigate your path.

Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed.
